Testing semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide

Published 5 October 2026 · Updated 5 October 2026

Semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide are among the compounds we are asked about most. Testing one costs €289 for identity, content and purity, €349 with endotoxin, and €539 for the full panel with microbiology. The price is the same for all three.

This guide covers what the tests show for these compounds and how to read the report. It is about testing only. Veritalys gives no advice on use.

Three different molecules

Semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide are related, but they are different molecules. A vial of one is not a vial of another, and a powder in a vial gives no visible clue which one it holds.

Identity testing answers this directly. The laboratory runs your sample next to a known-pure reference standard of the compound you name, and the two have to match. That is why you choose the compound on the order page: it tells the laboratory which standard to use. Name what the label says. If the vial holds something else, the identity result will not match.

Why content matters most here

These vials are sold in several sizes, so the declared amount on the label varies from one product to the next. Content testing measures how many milligrams are actually in the vial, and the report prints it next to the amount the label declares.

A purity percentage cannot do this. A vial can be 99% pure and hold far less than the label says. Purity is not content shows the arithmetic.

Semaglutide€289€349€539
Tirzepatide€289€349€539
Retatrutide€289€349€539

Janoshik lists a GLP-1 test at $360, about €310. With endotoxin and their sterility add-on the same comparison is about €714, against €539 for our full panel, which runs four microbiology tests where theirs runs two.

Which panel to choose

Identity, content and purity if your question is "is this the compound on the label, and is the vial full". For most buyers this is the first question.

Plus endotoxin if the material goes into cell or animal research, where bacterial endotoxin can cause a response that looks like a result. See Endotoxin testing for peptides.

Full panel if you sell the product and want one report that covers identity, amount and contamination.

How to send the vial

  1. Choose the compound and panel on the order page and pay by card.
  2. Your reference number and the posting address arrive by email within a minute.
  3. Write the reference on the vial, on a slip inside the packet and on the outside. Send the freeze-dried powder as it came, sealed. Do not mix it with water first.
  4. Post it tracked straight to the laboratory.

Results arrive seven working days after the laboratory receives the vial for identity, content and purity. Panels with microbiology take about two weeks longer.

Reading the result

Your certificate shows the compound, the batch number you gave, the declared and measured content, purity with the chromatogram, and endotoxin and microbiology if you ordered them. It carries a report number and QR code, so anyone you share it with can check it on veritalys.com.

The result is about the one vial tested. It does not cover other vials in the batch.

Questions people ask

How much does semaglutide testing cost?

€289 for identity, content and purity, €349 with endotoxin, and €539 for the full panel. Tirzepatide and retatrutide cost the same. Postage to the laboratory is not included.

Can a test tell semaglutide from tirzepatide?

Yes. Identity is checked against a reference standard of the compound you name. A vial holding a different molecule will not match it.

How do I know how much is in my vial?

Order any panel. Each one includes content, which measures the milligrams in the vial and prints them next to the amount on the label.

Should I send the powder or mix it first?

Send the freeze-dried powder sealed, as it came. Powder is the stable form for posting. Liquid is not.

How long does GLP-1 testing take?

Seven working days for identity, content and purity, from the day the laboratory receives the vial. Panels with microbiology take about two weeks longer.

Can the report be anonymous?

Yes. The name on the report is whatever you type at checkout, or Anonymous submitter if you leave it blank.
