Which peptide test do you need? The three panels explained

Published 5 October 2026 · Updated 5 October 2026

Pick the panel by the question you need answered. Most people overspend by buying the biggest panel for a small question, or underspend by buying a purity number when their real worry is contamination.

The short answer

Your questionPanelPrice range
Is it the right compound, and is the vial full?Identity, content and purity€169 to €399
And is it free of bacterial endotoxin?Plus endotoxin€259 to €439
And is anything living in it?Full panel€439 to €629

Each panel includes everything in the one above it. Prices differ by compound because each needs its own method and reference standard. Every price is on the price list.

Identity, content and purity

This answers the questions most buyers have first.

  1. Identity: is it the compound on the label? Your sample is run next to a known-pure reference standard of that compound, and the two have to match.
  2. Content: how many milligrams are in the vial? This is the result that catches under-filled vials.
  3. Purity: what share of the material is the compound? Measured by HPLC and given as a percentage.

Choose this when you want to know whether you got what you paid for. For BPC-157 it costs €169, against about €185 at Janoshik for their basic test.

Plus endotoxin

Adds a quantitative LAL test for bacterial endotoxin, reported as a number in EU per vial. Endotoxin is debris from dead bacteria. It survives sterilisation and passes through filters, so a vial can be sterile and still carry it.

Choose this when the material will go into a biological system in your work, or when you cannot see how the vial was filled. Endotoxin comes from water and equipment, so it tells you about the filling line rather than the molecule. More in Endotoxin testing for peptides.

For BPC-157 this panel is €279, against about €340 at Janoshik for the same tests.

Full panel

Adds four microbiology tests: total aerobic count, yeast and mould count, E. coli and Salmonella. These count or detect living microbes by giving them time to grow, which is why this panel takes about two weeks longer.

Choose this when you sell the product and want one certificate that answers every question a buyer can ask, or when contamination is your main concern. For BPC-157 it is €449, against about €589 at Janoshik, whose sterility add-on covers two of these four tests.

Who usually picks what

Buyers checking one vial usually start with identity, content and purity. It answers "is this real and is it full" at the lowest price.

Buyers who work with the material in cell or animal research usually add endotoxin, because an endotoxin response can look like a result.

Vendors usually test each batch on the full panel, then share the report number with customers so they can check it themselves.

Anyone with bacteriostatic water needs a different test: preservative level, pH, endotoxin and sterility. See Bacteriostatic water testing.

Compounds that start at plus endotoxin

A few compounds, including TB-500 and CJC-1295, are sold only from the plus endotoxin panel upward. The order page shows exactly which panels each compound has the moment you pick it.

Questions people ask

Which peptide test should I order?

Identity, content and purity if you want to know whether the vial holds the right compound in the right amount. Add endotoxin if the material goes into biological work. Take the full panel if you sell the product or worry about contamination.

What is the cheapest peptide test?

Identity, content and purity, from €169 depending on the compound. It answers the most common question: is this the right compound, and is the vial full?

Is purity enough on its own?

No. Purity is a percentage and cannot tell you how many milligrams are in the vial. That is why every Veritalys panel includes content.

What does the full panel add?

Endotoxin plus total aerobic count, yeast and mould count, E. coli and Salmonella. Full panel prices run €439 to €629.

How long does each panel take?

Seven working days for identity, content and purity, counted from when the laboratory receives the vial. Panels with microbiology take about two weeks longer, because cultures need time to grow.

Do I need to send more than one vial?

No. Every panel is run from one vial.

Veritalys prices come from the live price list. Janoshik prices are from their own product pages, read 8 September 2026, with $1 taken as €0.86.
