What the tests tell you

  • Benzyl alcohol: the concentration of the preservative.
  • pH: how acidic or alkaline the water is.
  • Endotoxin: bacterial debris that survives sterilisation, measured as a number in EU per vial.
  • Sterility screen: whether microbes grow from the sample.
