What the tests tell you
- Identity: whether the vial holds the compound it claims to be, checked against a reference standard of that compound.
- Content: how many milligrams are actually in the vial.
- Purity (HPLC): how much of what the detector saw was the compound, as a percentage of total peak area.
- Endotoxin: bacterial debris that survives sterilisation, measured as a number in EU per vial.
- Total aerobic count and yeast and mould count: how many living microbes are present.
- E. coli: a check for this specific bacterium.
- Salmonella: a check for this specific bacterium.

How long does MIF-1 testing take?
Seven working days for identity, content and purity, counted from the day the laboratory receives the vial. Panels with microbiology take about two weeks longer, because the cultures need that time to grow.
Can the report be anonymous?
Yes. The name printed on the report is whatever you type at checkout, or Anonymous submitter if you leave it blank. There is no public database: the report opens only for people you give its number to.
